Ingredients:For peanut butter frosting
- Creamy peanut butter – 250g
- Unsalted butter – 200g
- Icing sugar – 230g
- Vanilla – 01 tsp
Let’s bake:
- Gently melt the unsalted butter and creamy peanut butter together with the water in a saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously until the mixture transforms into a smooth and creamy delight. Once perfectly combined, remove the pan from the heat and allow this fragrant base to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt until evenly distributed.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the large eggs with the fresh milk and vanilla extract until lightly combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, mixing gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour in the prepared peanut butter mixture and beat until everything is beautifully incorporated, resulting in a smooth and luscious batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured 33cm x 23cm x 4.5cm size baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 35-40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked to golden perfection, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack. Patience is key for the perfect frosting application!
- While the cake cools, prepare the star of the show: the peanut butter frosting. In a clean bowl, beat the creamy peanut butter and softened unsalted butter together until light and fluffy.
- Gradually sift in the icing sugar, beating continuously until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Finally, stir in the remaining teaspoon of vanilla extract, completing your decadent frosting.
- Once the cake is completely cool, generously spread the prepared peanut butter frosting all over the top and sides, creating a truly irresistible treat. Get creative with your frosting design!
- To keep this delightful cake fresh, store it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
