Three Days of Alpine Majesty: A Journey Through Victoria's High Country

Victoria's Alpine National Park is a breathtaking landscape of rugged peaks, verdant valleys, and winding roads that promise adventure at every turn. Our three-day escape into this stunning region was nothing short of spectacular, leaving us with memories to last a lifetime.

Day 1: The Scenic Route to Mount Beauty

The journey itself on the first day was a highlight. As we drove towards Mount Beauty, the scenery unfolded before us like a painted masterpiece. Lush green hills gave way to glimpses of towering mountains in the distance, the air growing crisper with every kilometer. The winding roads offered panoramic vistas, making every turn a photo opportunity. Arriving in the charming town of Mount Beauty, nestled at the foot of the mountains, we settled in, eager for the adventures the next two days would hold.

Day 2: Exploring the Wonders of Falls Creek and Mount Hotham

Our second day was dedicated to discovering two of the Alpine region's most renowned destinations: Falls Creek and Mount Hotham.

Falls Creek: A Year-Round Alpine Playground

Falls Creek is more than just a ski resort; it's a vibrant destination that offers unique attractions throughout the year.

• Winter Wonderland:During the snow season (typically June to October), Falls Creek transforms into a premier skiing and snowboarding destination. Its extensive network of slopes caters to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned pros. Our final day was dedicated to a challenging yet rewarding hike to the summit of Mount Feathertop. The 8-9 hour trek tested our endurance but rewarded us with unparalleled vistas of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Bogong and the Kiewa Valley. The sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit, surrounded by the vast alpine landscape, was truly unforgettable.
