Homemade Garlic Cheese Pizza
Few things beat the comforting aroma of fresh garlic sizzling into warm olive oil as it bakes over a golden, bubbly crust. This Homemade Garlic Cheese Pizza is my go-to recipe whenever I want that cozy, pizzeria-quality dinner without spending hours in the kitchen.
By taking just a few minutes to let the crushed garlic infuse into the olive oil, every single bite is packed with rich, aromatic flavor. Paired with a generous blend of melted, stretchy mozzarella and sharp parmesan cheese, this simple recipe turns a standard pizza night into pure comfort food that everyone will gather around the table for.
Ingredients:
- 1 pizza base (store-bought or homemade pizza dough)
- 2 tsp garlic, crushed
- 25 ml olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to its highest setting (around 220°C–240°C / 430°F–460°F) to ensure a perfectly crisp crust.
- In a small bowl, combine the 2 teaspoons of crushed garlic with the 25 ml of olive oil. Let it sit and infuse for 10 minutes so the oil absorbs all that rich, fragrant garlic essence.
- Lay your pizza dough or ready-made base evenly across a pizza tray or baking sheet. Dock the flattened dough with a fork across the center so the garlic-olive oil mixture absorbs deeply and the base bakes evenly.
- Generously spoon and spread the garlic-infused olive oil across the surface of the dough, making sure it reaches close to the edges. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt to taste.
- Add a generous layer of creamy mozzarella and top with sharp parmesan cheese for the ultimate golden melt.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the crust is crisp and golden brown, and the cheese is melted and bubbling with lightly toasted spots.
- Allow the pizza to rest for 1–2 minutes, slice into wedges, and enjoy warm!
